Can I come and visit my dog during its holiday stay?
We don’t mind you coming to visit at all. The only thing we ask is that you come during our office open hours which are:
Monday to Friday: 8am – 12 noon and 3pm – 5.30pm
Saturday: 8am – 12 noon and 3pm – 5.30pm
Sunday: 9am – 12 noon and 3pm – 5.30pm
It is also nice if you can let us know so we can make sure a play yard is available for you, although a bush walk around our 10 acre property is lovely too.
Occasionally we will have a dog come and stay with us that has separation anxiety issues where it has taken the dog a few days to really settle in and get used to us providing love and care instead of their owner. In this case we would suggest that you visiting might not be ideal for your dog’s happiness and wellbeing. It may be that they then have to go through the whole process of missing you all over again. It really depends on each individual dog’s personality. The best approach is to come and have a visit and see how it goes. Once you have visited and left again we can let you know if it proved to be a problem for your dog’s re settling.
Can a friend or family member come and visit my dog while I am away?
No problem at all. Just consider the same issues as noted above.
